The first character the player encounters is the erotic mermaid Andriella who is in desperate need of help. In order to be free of the ocean, she must first gather ingredients and bring them to the witch that will release her from her mermaid form. My Experience Playing Booty Calls (The Review)
Although there’s an abundance of dating sims, what made me interested in Booty Calls was its beautiful hentai art. I quickly found out that art wasn’t the only good thing about the game, as the dialogue and puzzles are one of the most entertaining I’ve seen. Since dating sims have been around for decades, I didn’t need to use the in-game tips. Out of curiosity I read through them and was amazed at how well the writers have explained the gist for beginners.
Dialogue is key to success
Stories in click-based dating games have to be gripping in order to satisfy the player, and I was glad to see that Booty Calls has a wide array of different plots. Each naughty girl has her own personality, so you can’t just mindlessly click through the text in order to flirt successfully. This made it extremely easy for me to immerse myself in the stories, which is exactly what I want from this gaming genre.
Paying close attention to the dialogue was the reason the game took me only 13 hours to finish. When talking about my playtime I’m referring to the actual gameplay with the puzzles and the main story, I played much more to truly enjoy the plethora of side content. By remembering what each character likes and how they flirt, it makes it very easy to seduce and get down and dirty with them.
Phenomenal side stories and content
I assumed Booty Calls would just be a quick game to play in my spare time, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out the wide array of additional content to explore. Aside from the regular sex scenes that you receive, you’re also able to customize their background and change positions. On top of the main story, I was also surprised to see that the side adventures are just as good if not better. The map at first felt quite small, but the more I played and progressed it too became enlarged and new zones were unlocked.

There’s no right or wrong way of playing dating sims, but there are ways they can be finished quicker. The goal isn’t to finish them as fast as possible, but successfully beating levels will unlock new naughtier sex scenes. Booty Calls requires a fair amount of grinding, which can be skipped with a credit card. If you’re not willing to purchase microtransactions, the best thing you can do is follow the main story only. Enter the world every two hours and spend your energy on dates and cash on gifts for the ladies.
Puzzles are straightforward, but I do have some pointers that will help you along the way. Avoiding gems with broken hearts is a must in later levels, as they make you lose one turn. Before popping the chain of gems first look at where they will land, but also if there are any gems that add an extra turn. In the beginning, it’s okay to pop only a few in a row, but later in the game that should be avoided at all costs.
